F.A. Ahmed College, Garoimari is a single stream (Arts) College offers Three Year Degree Course in both General and Major Subjects. The College is guided and controlled by the Gauhati University, Guwahati in all academic matter. As the University has introduced semester system under CBCS, there will be 06 (six) semesters in the degree programme.
Major Courses are offered in the subjects of Arabic, Assamese, Economics, Education, History, Political Science and Hindi.
General Courses are offered in the subjects of English, MIL (Assamese), Economics, Political Science, Education, History and Elective Assamese.
Students pursuing Three Year Degree Course in the Arts Stream with a Major subject are required to choose one optional subject apart from English and MIL (which shall remain compulsory). Pass Course students need to choose two optional subjects.
